Samsung D880 Dual SIM phone

I have a Samsung SGH D880. This phone is the first dual active SIM from a major manufacturer, directly competing with the Chinese manufactured dual SIM phones in the market. Actually a very useful phone if you have two lines either from the same or even different networks.

I am curious if someone is already using this phone and would have the secret code to increase its default ring tone volume. The codes for other models like the d900 seems not to work on this model.

Appreciate any help out there.

already found the D880 codes I was looking for. It's *#0206*8378#. With the code you gain access the hidden menu normally accessed by technicians.

By the way, I've been using the fone for couple of weeks now. Contrary to some reviews, you don't have to reset the phone to change SIM when you text and call. All you've got to do is press the 'switch SIM' button on the left side of the phone after defining the number you want to call or to send text message to.

The only time you need to reset the phone is when you change your primary SIM. And you do that by pressing the 'switch SIM' button while on stand by.

p.s. will look around the internet and see if I can find a way to add the message tones into the phone, I agree that the built in tones are very limited and kinda boring too...hmm they should have an option to use whatever tone we want, like in Nokia phones.

On your other query, re: other settings, I'm still waiting for feedback from friends as well. By the way, I am based in the Philippines.

Is there an app or a hack/setting etc that can get rid of the black screen, i.e. empty standby screen. Like in Nokia phones, you can have the clock and date display for easy reference. I know by pressing a button it shows the main screen, but I don't like the empty black look, I'd like a digital or analogue clock to display. Any ideas mate?

y it is possible but for that u have to use threading softwre- or better i call it s ethical hacking of ur phone. try google.

Why D880 have limited size for install program? it should be under 900k. why ? can I change Firmware to solve this problem?
